An impressive, large, fishtail-twinned calcite crystal from the famous Tri-State District. The striking gemmy termination area is glorious, golden-amber, just like Elmwood calcites. The very glassy crystal faces are rippled. Complete all-around and in excellent shape for such a large crystal, with only one gently cleaved termination edge. This is a rare and important, old-time and classic calcite from Baxter Springs. Ex George Fiest Collection and comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $175 for free.
