An impressive, large blocky calcite rhomb from this famous underground uranium mine, closed since 1982, that has produced an impressive variety of calcite specimens. The dramatic large twinned calcite rhomb is the focal point of this sculptural specimen. The crystals are translucent and lustrous and are actually near colorless. The preferential inclusions of variably colored iron oxides really add pizzazz to this important large example from the Robert Nowakowki Collection. Essentially pristine.
