This impresssive, large, 8.5 x 8.3 x 5.0 cm, complex calcite rhomb has a rare well-defined to subtle twinning plane running across the entire specimen. The tan crystal is very glassy, translucent and has some beautiful well-striated faces. The pristine crystal is nicely set on the large well-prepared matrix covered with small very gemmy rhombs. An exceptional and uncommon large calcite from the famous Shangbao Mine. Valued at $950 by the former dealer and is well worth it.
