Striking spearpoint-shaped florets of translucent, light straw-yellow dogtooth calcite rhombs dramatically cover this impressive large and sculptural mounded specimen from a most obscure Peru locality. The florets rest on a nubby first generation of tiny densely packed, lustrous and translucent dogtooth calcite crystals in mammillary form. Bright ghostly white fluorescence. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. RARE, showy and rich large calcite from the obscure locale. Note that Art was the author/editor of tehomnibus work, Minerals of Peru.
