Item Description

Calcite specimens are uncommon from the 16 calcite localities, that MINDAT lists for the Metaline District. Striking, large, disc-like, flattened calcite rhombs on matrix form an impressive large specimen from the obscure Pend Oreille Mine. The highly lustrous, translucent, colorless to gray crystals are up to 9.3 cm wide and the three major crystals are pristine. Faint pink fluorescence. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
