Item Description
Calcite is, in general, RARE from this world-class pyrite and fluorite Pb-Zn mine. This impressive and RARE large plate is totally covered with waxy luster, translucent, colorless dogtooth calcite scalenohedrons. The crystals reach 3.0 cm on this exotic, very rich and rare large calcite. Amazingly, essentially pristine for such a dense large specimen with only a modest, acceptable amount of periphery wear. Calcite specimens of this size and quality from Huanzala are just not on the market. Exceptional calcite from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Rich pink fluorescence. A must for the locality or species collector.
