The scintillating gemmy calcite rhombs look like ice crystals preferentially draped on the impressive intergrown cluster of purple fluorite cubes on this superb and aesthetic large combination from the Ross Lillie Collection. The lustrous, translucent, rich grape-purple cubes, to 7.2 cm, are also accented with tiny, iridescent, golden chalcopyrite crystals. This fabulous, sculptural large piece has multiple display views and the one gently cleaved crystal on the periphery has very minimal impact to the overall superb quality of this exceptional large piece. A combination classic from the famous Denton Mine and mined in 1990, according to Ross's label. Modest purple fluorescence. Valued at $4500 for dramatic quality and size.
