Large Calcite (old rare classic) ex Obodda

Calcite specimens of this impressive large size and form are uncommon from this historic mining district and are RARE from Moldova. The striking large, glassy, colorless rhomb has high luster with mesmerizing stepped-growth faces and a checkerboard-like interior. The glassy complex rhombs at the base nicely accent this aesthetic and excellent old-timer. Comes with two old labels, probably dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. Rare and choice material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Pretty pink fluorescence. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
