Large Calcite (fluorescent)

Dal'negorsk is renowned for outstanding calcite specimens and this is an impressive and artistic large example. A scultpural boxwork of very large "paper" calcite rhombs is highlighted by the striking retangular shape in the center, that looks just like a baby's cradle with high sides! The larger rhombs are cream colored, but one side has thinner and smaller rhombs that are snow-white! The large rhomb on one side is 10.3 cm. Complete all-around, this very visual 360-degree piece is in great shape. The "cradle" is pristine. A few broken rhombs are noted in the snow-white side and the periphery wear elsewhere is very modest. Really a fine large Dal'negorsk calcite. Bright pink-orange fluorescence. Valued at $1500-2000.
