Large Calcite (Evan Jones Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive, large, V-shaped, calcite specimen from Charcas and the Evan Jones Mexico Collection. The limbs of the striking piece are composed of differently angled clusters of glassy, colorless to white, enechelon, hexagonal, calcite disks. The elongated disks reach about 6.5 cm and the pearlescent luster adds character. The basal attachment reveals that the large limb is partially hollow! A pristine, sculptural and dramatic large calcite. Very uncommon in this large size and quality.
