Calcite crystal specimens of this impressive size and quality are RARE from this well-known Indiana carbonate quarry. The striking, highly lustrous, glassy, transparent to translucent elongated calcites are parallel-growth nailhead spar rhombs. The light iron oxide tint adds character.
