Large "cactus" Quartz incl. w/ iron oxides (rare color style)

This spectacular, RARE color came out only in 1 in 10000 of the specimens from this famous find and this is a sculptural large two-sided plate. It is dramatically covered with striking rich golden-yellow oxide-included quartz points. Most specimens from the finds here have a mostly purple amethyst component, with no or moderate oxide tinting. The gorgeous, glassy, translucent to transparent points, to 4.4 cm, stand upright on the quartz matrix. The crystals really sparkle and are called "cactus quartz" for their form. The sharp terminations are isolated, while the bodies have a prickly, "cactus" look with an overgrowth of smaller crystals. This is the true source for the amethystine quartz crystals (aka "cactus quartz" and "spirit quartz") erroneously marketed as being from the Magaliesberg Range in the early 2000s. Very common then, there have been no new recent finds. A super and RARE large yellow example of "cactus" quartz from the locale. This is not jsut colorful, it is SPARKLY, and hard to emphasize how good it is compared to most of similar sorts that came out...nw nearly 20 years ago!
