Item Description

This dramatically sculptural large specimen is festooned on all sides with white bultfonteinite spindles and contrasting, lustrous, tan orthorhombic olmiite crystals. Bultfonteinite is a rare silicate, most often found in the Kalahari manganese field. The conning tower shape of the piece adds real character. One side has a far greater covering of bultfonteinite, while the other side is nearly entirely covered with olmiite crystals. Weird chemistry here. This impressive piece is nearly a floater, with only a couple of small attachment points. Rare and excellent large combination material in this size, richness and quality from the Charlie Key dealer stock. Valued at $1250-1500.
