Item Description
An impressive large botryoidal malachite from the famous copper mines of Katanga. Intensely sparkly bubbly forest-green botryoids comprise this dramatic piece, which is dominated by the striking, stout, very bubbly 8.0 x 7.3 cm "sail". Complete all-around and in great shape. The bit of noted scuffing and contacting is certainly only a modest detraction to this artistic large 360-degree piece. It displays very well without aid, as the base has been sawed. Choice, dense classic malachite, probably from the 1970s or 80s finds. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. valued $1250
