Large botryoidal Fluorite

Item Description

An impressive large and colorful fluorite from a 2007-08 find at this mine. The sculptural piece is covered with pretty, translucent, matte-finish, lavender bubbly botryoids. The preferential yellow oxide tinting adds a striking colorful contrast. The periphery wear reveals the radial growth style of the botryoids, adding interest. The white spots on the center botryoids are mostly internal and the bit of bruising to the botryoids to the left is certainly only a modest detraction of this rare botryoidal style of fluorite.
