Opposing, densely intergrown translucent light purple fluorite cubes have striking stepped-growth faces accented by dramatic darker violet edge phantoms. The variable interior yellow iron oxide tinting adds an additional color palette and more character. The underlying massive fluorite is gray. Fascinating, classic and artistic large bi-colored fluorite from the well-known fluorite deposits at Qinglong, but a new style there. Purple fluorescence. This surreal piece reminds me of a lithograph from famed graphic artist, M.C. Escher.
