Item Description

An impressive, very large and uncommon beryl crystal from the famous Rice Quarry. This mint-green giant is lustrous and moderately translucent. The front has a very rounded appearance. The upper termination is contacted, with very little bruising, and has embedded pealescent muscovite plates. The back of the crystal is contacted, with little damage, except both ends of the milky quartz core are broken and some bruising to the beryl is noted to the left of the quartz. The tapered base is contacted. The presentation front is pristine. This is an outstanding and rare beryl crystal from this classic New England locale. Seldom on the market in this very large size! Ex Robert Whitmore Collection. 1.6 pounds or 734 grams.
