Item Description
Mineral specimens of any type from this long abandoned (1924) small quartz mine in a phosphate pegmatite are RARE (MINDAT). Beryl specimens are EXTREMELY RARE. An imposing, 10.4 cm, terminated, hexagonal, lustrous, translucent, pastel-green beryl crystal is dramatically frozen in large, blocky, massive gray quartz. Sections of other beryls are noted on the front, back and top of the piece. A rare, old-time, highly desirable large beryl from Bavaria. Comes with an old, faded, early 20th century label. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Value??? A MUST for the locality or species collector.
