Item Description
Impressive, large, benitoite, neptunite and natrolite specimens are seldom available and are always desirable. Classic, triangular, lustrous, partially gemmy, indigo-blue benitoite crystals are richly scattered, along with fewer jet-black neptunite crystals on sculptural serpentine matrix aesthetically covered with snow fields of blazing white natrolite. The benitoites reach 1.5 cm and the largest neptunite is 1.3 cm (broken tip). The arrangement of the many benitoites, in clusters or a isolated crystals, is particulary noteworthy. A few broken crystals are noted, but are only a modest detraction to this large, rich and highly representative combination specimen from this noted and now defunct locale. Seldom on the market in this size. Older material collected prior to 1980, that I found in an old collection in Germany last year. Valued at $2000.
