White barite has surficially altered this impressive, rich specimen of solid barytocalcite from this famous old Pb-Zn-fluorite-barite mine. Jackstraw clusters of glassy, brown, parallel-growth barytocalcite blades comprise this solid specimen of this uncommon Ba-carbonate. Periphery wear on the front and the contact on the back reveals the barytocalcite. Ex Dr. Stephen Moreton Collection and collected in October, 1993.
