An exceptional large baryte from the historic Cavnic Mine of Romania that looks like frozen waves of blue crystals. Glassy rosettes of blue-gray, flattened barite spearpoints are dramatically clustered on the striking, mounded 360-degree specimen. The rosettes on one side have a light iron oxide tint from differential chemistry fluid flow, adding color contrast and interest. Complete all-around and essentially pristine.
