Item Description
An impressive and RARE large barrerite combination. Barrerite is one of the rarest Zeolite Group species and is related to stilbite. Some of the very finest examples of the species come from this Alaska island and this is an outstanding and aesthetic LARGE CABINET. Sharp doubly terminated, pearlescent barrerite blades with white interiors and gemmy, colorless edges, to 2.5 cm, are aesthetically mostly scattered on one side of the RARE and sculptural matrix of sparkly, knobby drusy quartz. This is an exceptional, dramatic and very rare large two-sided example of the species and location. These came out in the mid-1990s and I have not seen them since. A must for the zeolite or locality collector.
