Item Description

Wow! A huge, 13.4 x 11.0 x 2.4 cm, doubly terminated, tabular barite crystal dominates this spectacular and very aesthetic large specimen from the famous late 1990s finds at the Meikle Mine. The secondary crystal is 7.8 cm across. The very glassy, translucent blades have rich golden-amber color and colorless calcite rhombs are noted between the barites. This outstanding and classic large specimen is essentially pristine in the display view, with only the most trivial of rubbing on the upper left edge of the large barite. A most inpressive and excellent large specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Valued at $1250-1500 and worth it. 1915 grams or 4.2 pounds mass.
