Item Description
Lustrous, translucent, vibrant-tan, chisel-pointed, barite crystals to 4.9 cm dramatically line an impressive large plate from the famous Rosh Pinah Mine. These are the finest barites from Namibia and compare well with barite worldwide. These are large and stout crystals for the locale. Periphery wear is noted, especially on the right side, as are a few gently bruised crystals. This remains a significant and very fine large example of the species and locale. Ex Rob Smith Collection, a noted Namibian specialist. Valued at $1000-1250. 1328 grams or 2.9 pounds.
