Item Description
Fluorites from the Rock Candy Mine are a Canadian classic and large specimens of this combination richness and quality are uncommon. Translucent, butterscotch-colored barite blades, to 4.0 cm on the diagonal, are festooned on the hillocky plate of intergrown, translucent, light mint-green fluorite cubes over a light lavender to colorless massive fluorite core. The few broken barite blades are certainly only a modest detraction to this fine large plate. Moderate purple fluorescence. Most excellent large older combination material. Ex. Bob Trimingham Collection. Mass is 5.3 pounds or 2.4 kilograms.
