A dramatic, large, old-time, carving-grade massive malachite specimen from Bisbee and the Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. The sculptural, very elongated, shoe-shaped piece consists of strikingly banded, variably-hued, velvet malachite in a brecciated matrix. One side hightlights the banded malachite with beautiful chatoyancy and deeper green velvet malachite botryoids in the vugs. The "sole" of the shoe is slabbed and polished and really accentuates the banded malachite "eyes" surrouding the brecciated matrix. Stunning. Outstanding, large and uncommon old-time Bisbee malachite in this size.
