Item Description
An impressive large azurite with malachite specimen from the ancient mines at Chessy. The flattened, rounded nodule is cored with malachite. One striking side has elongated, radial, multi-hued crystals from bright azure-blue (electric-blue) to navy-blue to midnight-blue with scattered, malachite pseudoed tips at the crest. The other side has platy electric-blue crystals, with many partially pseudomorphed by malachite. The core really highlights the parallel- to plumose-growth of the elongated azurite blades! Rare on the market in this size, style and quality. Value of this very fine and rare old-timer??
