Large Azurite and Malachite

An impressive, large azurite and malachite specimen from famed Tsumeb. A dramatic, large, 6.8 x 4.2 x 1.8 cm, highly lustrous midnight-blue azurite blade dominates the piece and is partially pseudomorphed by malachite. Sections and areas of the crystal have stunning "electric-blue" translucence under bright light. All of the crystals in this spectacular piece have terminations that were contacted against the vug roof and are partially pseudomorphed by malachite. This is an outstanding and classic large Tsumeb combination with multiple display views. Valued by the former dealer at $6000.
