Item Description

A rich and impressive large arsenopyrite specimen from the historic mines at Trepca. Brilliant silver-metallic, sharp, pseudo-octahedral crystals, to 1.8 cm, are aesthetically festooned on the undulating hefty sulfide ore matrix. A sculptural band of etched brown siderite balls, isolated siderite balls and a few scattered quartz points, to 2.0 cm, are showy and classic accessories. Excellent old-time arsenopyrite from Trepca with a faded small number on the back. 1959 grams or 4.3 pounds mass. Classic, way above average large material for the locale.
