Outstanding quality on this grand large combination plate from a new find from the pegmatites of the well-known Shigar District of Pakistan. The sculptural, large cluster of intergrown Aquamarine crystals is dominated by the striking, stout, doubly terminated, 10.5 x 5.1 x 3.8 cm, textbook hexagonal prism and the adjacent 8.2 cm aquamarine. The isolated, 3.7 cm, doubly terminated aquamarine on the upper right adds to the overall fine aesthetics of the specimen. The glassy, lustrous aquas have fine ice-blue color and are gemmy to translucent. The presentation faces of the aquas are pristine and the modifications of the pinacoidal termination of the large crystal further enhance the piece. Pearlescent Muscovite plates on both sides of the aquamarines are attractive and complementary accessories. 1874 grams or pounds 4.1 mass.
