Item Description
Wow! A dramatic and sculptural large Nagar combination piece with a unique feature! The highlight, of course, is the impressive large parallel-growth cluster of gemmy, water-clear to translucent, lightly frosted, light blue aquamarine crystals with interesting iron oxide inclusions. The stout, glassy, hexagonal crystals reach about 5 cm and some are doubly terminated. Another gemmy aqua cluster on the back side is 3.8 x 3.8 cm and a beautiful, isolated, gem crystal is 2.2 cm tall. The unique feature in the pearlescent bladed muscovite matrix is the surreal, heavily etched, not broken, albite crystal, the remainder of which, lies in a large depresssion. All of the larger aquas are pristine, except for a gentle edge bruise to the isolated gem aqua at the top. Bruising to smaller crystals in the large cluster is mostly out-of-sight on the back side. The contacting/attachment is out-of-sight in all major display views and there is only trivial bruising to the muscovites. An outsanding and very interesting large combination specimen, better in person. Valued at $5000 and worth. 4.2 pounds or 1.9 kilos. Our major spiker for this auction.
