Large Apophyllite & Stilbite

Item Description

A spectacular, large, stacked combination specimen from Nashik. Five, large, blocky, very glassy, "sandwich-style" apophyllite crystals with mint-green interiors and colorless rims are dramatically intergrown and colorfully accented with pearlescent light-peach stilbite crystals. The imposing capping crystal is 6.5 x 6.2 x 5.2 cm and the large crystal at the base is 7.0 cm across. The striking large doubly terminated stilbite is 7.8 cm. This is a most impressive and outstanding 360-degree specimen, with very turn presenting a strikingly different perspective. Nearly pristine. One side has a gently bruising corner to a smaller apophyllite and some periphery wear is noted to the stilbites there, but these are out-of-sight in the several superlative display views. An exceptional large apophyllite and stilbite combination valued at $2000-2500.
