An impressive and very showy large apophyllite crystal from Jalgaon; and from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. A huge, 10.3 x 9.5 x 5.9 cm, glassy, colorless, blocky and translucent crystal is jauntily set on basalt matrix covered with sparkly drusy quartz. A pearlescent, salmon-pink stilbite blade is a super accent. One face of the apophyllite is interestingly preferentially etched. This giant is complete all-around and pristine. Seldom will you see a Jalgaon apophyllite in this large size, of this quality and pristine. A dramatic piece! Valued at $1250-1500.
