Item Description

Spectacular and significant large combination from Irai, Brazil. Dramatic, colorful clusters of rich golden-amber calcite scalenohedrons with striking accenting phantoms are aesthetically set in the curved vug lined with rich purple glassy amethyst crystals. The large calcite in the impressive pair is 10.6 cm and these are pristine. The adjacent smaller calcite cluster does have two broken crystals, which are certainly only a modest detraction. Soft orange calcite fluorescence. Mass of this important large decorator combination is 4834 grams or 10.6 pounds. The piece has two fine display views. Classic, stunning and very classy large amethyst with unusual golden calcite with obvious appeal from Irai. Valued at $8000.
