Large Albite w/ Schorl

Clusters of lustrous jet-black schorl crystals are a stark contrast on this dramatic and sculptural large albite crystal cluster specimen from recent finds in the Shigar Valley. The lustrous, sharp, pearlescent, bone-white albites are dominated by the impressive 8.3 x 8.0 x 7.3 cm blocky crystal with a very interesting modified corner. The schorls reach 1.7 cm. Scattered patches of small K-feldspar crystals variety adularia crystals and quartz points add character to this very well-composed large combination piece.
