Exotic and impressive large 2-sided, lustrous, polished agate slab from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The stunning, contrasting, stylish banding of dense, translucent bluish-white banding, opaque dark banding and marvelous yellow banding surrounding the striking cavities, vugs and embedded matrix make for a captivating specimen. The variably-colored matrix on the bottom adds even more pizzazz. 285 grams mass. Backlighting really accentuates the colors and details of this outstanding large agate slab. VERY unexpected included Hyalite Opal in the agate with neon-green SW U fluorescence! A REAL bonus. Ex Jack Halpern Collection No. 3424 of San Francisco. Jack, now 104 years old, assembled one of the world's great mineral collections. He is beloved by all who have met him. We recently acquired the remainder of his collection. A dynamic and dramatically sculptural large Brazilian agate slab with a bonus.
