Item Description

Lapis lazuli specimens from this obscure Chile locale are seldom on the market. The rich, layered blue lapis (hauyne, a sulfur-rich member of the Sodalite Group) is accented with classic calcite and scattered tiny pyrite crystals. A rare and old-time specimen, collected in the 1930s, according to the Josef Vajdak label.
