Item Description

A nice little representative specimen of this hard to find material from the collection of noted and now deceased Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl (from whom the mineral Aheylite was named). Fibrous in form, and fairly attractive for what it is. This mine is actually a Dana locality, and from what I understand, all of the specimens of this material were removed from the mine in 1880s.
