Item Description

Langbanite is a rare neosilicate (Dana defines it as an antimonate) found first at the world famous locality at Langban, and named a species in 1971. The crystals occur as thin black prisms. This piece is a micro specimen, but does have plenty of little Langbanites. From the collection of Paolo Matioli, with a label from the Natural History Museum in Stockholm, Sweden.
