Item Description

A classic association specimen of Lanarkite with Leadhillite from the Leadhills of Scotland, which is technically the type locality for both species. Since we started exploring the piece with the macro lens, we found several other micro species, including Chrysocolla, along with Chrysocolla pseudomorphs after Cerussite. Plus Anglesite and Cerussite, and possibly Barite. The yellowish "sprays" are most likely Pyromorphite. The prismatic reddish-brown crystal is unidentified, perhaps a prismatic Wulfenite(?). I'm sure a Leadhills expert would have a great time looking at this one under the microscope. Enjoy!
