Laguna agates are generally considered to be the finest Mexican agates and arguably the finest in the world. They are very highly desirable. The pattern and form of the beautiful color-banding on this dramatic, sliced and polished quartz variety chalcedony (trade name Laguna Agate) nodule is striking.
