Item Description
An adorable and sculptural lacework of intergrown thin sheets of arborescent crystallized copper from the famous Santa Rita (Chino) Pit of New Mexico. Flattened euhedral to subhedral tetrahexahedral and spinel-twinned crystals compose this overall impressive spinel-twinned specimen. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11411 and acquired from a Silver City, New Mexico dealer at Tucson in 1988. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Lace copper of this quality is uncommon from here.
