Labuntsovite-Mg is an ultra-rare complex hydrated silicate and this Kola Peninsula iron mine is the Type Locality. Lustrous, translucent, color-zoned, orange-brown prisms, to 3 mm, are aesthetically clustered on matrix. An excellent example of this extreme, seldom available rarity.
