Item Description
This material has long been identified as Labradorite, and it most likely is, but it could be another feldspar species such as Orthoclase or Bytownite. Actually, it should be noted that Labradorite is a variety of Anorthite, but most people are more familiar with the term Labradorite. This rough and cut set features a classic piece of soft golden-yellow Labradorite rough with no crystal faces, but excellent gem quality. The gem in this set is VERY impressive, not only because of its amazing size (over 77 carats), but also the intense yellow color and eye clean clarity! The gem has a "Brilliant Scisscors Cut Corner Rectangle" cut and really looks amazing in any kind of light. The set is priced at $2,800 retail.
