Item Description

Having a beauty all its own, with its silvery, royal-blue color and excellent luster that highlights its bladed form, it is easy to see why this mineral stands out from others in aesthetics. This small cabinet specimen is very typical for many Kyanite/Quartz combinations from the famous state of Minas Gerais. While the blades are not perfectly sharp, the color and luster are here to appreciate, and the intricate intergrowth between the two species, as well as the two soaring Kyanite blades, create a nice aesthetic. Note: the noted specimen size is heavily dependent on how you choose to orient the piece - it could measure larger. From the collection of Kurt Hefendehl, a well-known German collector all over Europe with worldwide contacts to dealers and collectors. He started collecting seriously at the age of 14 and his great and varied worldwide collection reached over 6000 pieces. A beautiful 3-dimensional piece.
