Item Description

Striking, iridescent, neon colors of turgite, a mixture of goethite and hematite, coat this very fine and rich, intergrown, cluster of kyanite blades on this outstanding specimen from the famous Graves Mountain locality. This piece is illustrated in color in the 1985 Mineralogical Record issue, Vol. 16, No. 6, P. 449. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base, valued at $125, for free. Ex James Fowler Collection. Valued ??? - hard to say, as normally this material is just pretty "stuff" and this is a fine specimen, and published.
