Item Description

Showy and excellent large two-sided combination from this classic Swiss locale noted for blue Kyanite. Beautiful rich blue, lustrous, gemmy to translucent Kyanite sections are attractively embedded on both sides of the sculptural luminous muscovite schist matrix. The two large crystals on the front are 3.6 and 3.2 cm long. Kyanite sections on the back reach 3.1 cm and both sides include sections of classic brown, lustrous, pseudo-orthorhombic Staurolite prisms, to 2.5 cm. The piece displays well without aid. Ex Brent Lockhart Swiss Collection and acquired from Siber + Siber in 2014. Classic and excellent large combination material from this famous locale.
