Item Description
A striking 10.0 cm partially terminated upright kyanite crystal dramatically dominates this fine specimen from recent finds at this famous locale. The rich cornflower-blue color is accentuated by the high lustre, glassiness and translucence of the blades. The blade is very aesthetically set in the spare quartz matrix and the smaller blades, to 2.8 cm, are a fine complement. Complete all-around. A very sculptural and excellent example of a common species that often just does not come out in specimen grade quality. Ex R.D. Mushlitz Collection.
