A huge, old-time Kenya kyanite crystal from the Hatten Yoder and Robert Whitmore Collections. The gemmy and lustrous outer surface of the platy crystal ranges from striking, peacock to teal-blue. Its hard to tell if this is a terminated crystal, even with a loupe. Any way, this is a large, rare and important old-timer from a very uncommon African locale.
