Kyanite (intense color)

This gem is rarely seen in faceted stones from anywhere in the world let alone in such a rich color. Kyanite is an exceptionally rare stone mostly occurring in Brazil as included pale blue to colorless gems. This stone is from Nepal of all places and has an intense Sapphire blue color, simply one of the best hues for Kyanite that I have seen. This is very difficult material to facet, and the color is out of this world. This "Cushion Step" cut gem is very very slightly included, and is certainly a great rare collector's stone.
